Spring is suggested for this tour. Escorted by our professional tour-leader you will be able to see the flowers and gardens in full bloom. Visiting carefully restored gardens of earlier Roman times, great public parks, Renaissance villas as well as private gardens. The combination of gardens, villas, museums, great cathedrals and art treasures, will make this a complete visit to Italy for those who wish to see and absorb the complete sights and sounds of this beautiful Country.

1st day Rome

Arrival at airport and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon You will enjoy a tour at Villa Borghese which is in the very heart of the city center. It its large area the Villa includes buildings, sculptures and fountains by notable artists of the baroque and new-classic arts. Everything is surrounded by age-old trees, lakes, Italian gardens and huge free spaces. The Gallery inside the park houses one of the most beautiful art collections in the world with masterpieces of Canova, Titian, Bernini and Caravaggio. After the visit, You will be accompanied to the hotel to fresh up before a dinner at Your leisure and a guided panoramic tour of the Eternal City, visiting the illuminated monuments, the banks of Tiber river with its historical bridges, St Angel's Castle, Piazza Venezia and the Capitol Hill, the Coliseum and the Roman Forum, Via Veneto and much more.. Overnight at Your hotel.

2nd day Rome

Breakfast at the hotel and bus transfer to the Vatican for a full day trip among stunning gardens and villas. We start with the visit of the Vatican Garden, place of rest and meditation of the Holy Father. Made by different areas (Italian garden, English garden and the vegetable garden of the Pope) they houses beautiful fountains, palaces and sculptures. You cannot miss a visit to the internal rooms of the Vatican museums, one of the largest art collections of the world, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter Basilica. Afternoon excursion to Tivoli visiting Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este. This last one is the Renaissance Villa and was built in the 1550s by the son of Lucrezia Borgia. Designed to impress the Cardinal's guests, the Villa's gardens are composed almost exclusively of water features. Back to Rome, overnight at Your hotel.

3rd day Rome – Caprarola – Bomarzo – Bagnaia – San Martino al Cimino

After breakfast early morning departure to the northern Latium region. Our first stop will be Palazzo Farnese and the gardens in Caprarola. The palace, wanted by Cardinal Alessandro Farnese (Pope Paolo III), was designed on 1530 by the architect Antonio Sangallo and its construction involved the entire village, whose urban net was adapted to the palace's necessities. Behind the Palace Italian gardens lies between water games, statues and age-old trees. Continuation to the Holy Wood of Bomarzo, also called Monsters Park of Bomarzo, treasure of Mannerism art of XVI century where You'll be surprised for the continue succession of animals and strange stone figures; the dragons fight, the Ogre, the Sleeping Beauty, and more. The nearby Villa Lante of Bagnaia is another surprising park in Manneristic style, declared the Most beautiful Italian Park on 2011. Arrival to San Martino al Cimino, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

4th day San Martino al Cimino – Capalbio – Florence

Breakfast and departure to Capalbio to see the esoteric sculpture garden by Niki de Saint Phalle; the Tarots Garden. The entire park is inspired to the Tarots figures, dense of symbolic and esoteric significance, with lively and strong colours, and celebrate the tight connection between art and nature, tradition and contemporaneity, shape and colour, matter and spirit. Afternoon arrival to Florence. Time at leisure for Your own visits and dinner. Overnight accommodation.

5th day Florence

After breakfast walking visit to Florence city centre with the most impressive corners such as Lungarno and the Old Bridge, Piazza della Signoria, the Old Palace and the Cathedral. Entrance to Boboli Gardens on the back of Pitti Palace. Projected by Medici Family it became the real model of Italian garden, took as example for many European royal courts. It's an open-space museum framed with fountains of the renaissance age. After an independent lunch in the historic city centre and optional visit to Le Cascine park for those who wish to have a peaceful walk along its numerous paths. Le Cascine park is the green lever of the city, only ten minutes driving away from the museums and the city monuments, over 130 hectares running along the Arno river, with public market every Tuesday morning and venue of numerous cultural events during the year. Overnight accommodation.

6th day Florence – Poggio a Chiaiano – Verona area

After breakfast we continue our visit with Villa Medicea in Poggio a Chiaiano. Built as request of Lorenzo il Magnifico, this villas was constructed in a wide rural area between Florence, Prato and Pistoia. On the second floor, since last June 2007, the Palace houses the Still Life Painting Museum.

We continue driving to Verona, independent visit of the city centre with Piazza delle Erbe , the majestic Arena and don't miss Juliet's house with the worldwide known balcony. Overnight accommodation in Verona area.

7th day Verona – Valeggio sul Mincio – Stresa – Milan

Breakfast at the hotel and short drive to Valeggio sul Mincio to visit one of the most beautiful gardens of northern Italy; Parco Sigurtà. This wide park lies nearby Garda Lake on 600.000squared metres and was created by the garden's lover owner of the Pharmaceutical Company Sigurtà.

Thanks to 40 years of loving cares, with the right to glean waters from Mincio river, Carlo Sigurtà succeeded in making lush the arid hill vegetation. Today the garden is famous all over the world for the roses avenue, 1 kilometre path with over 30.000 blooming roses, the officinal herbs garden, the labyrinth, and the aquatic gardens housing local and tropical Ninfee (water lily) of extraordinary beauty. Inside the park You can also find picnic areas and rest stops offering sandwiches and drinks. Upon arrival around noon in Stresa, a beautiful resort on Maggiore Lake, we will enjoy a boat ride surrounded by stunning landscapes. If time permits, we will surely pay an optional visit to Isola Bella and Isola Madre islands which will be otherwise viewed with a panoramic ride by boat. Entrance to Villa Taranto, housing the famous botanical garden which presents a variety of species and colours unique in Europe. The Dahlias labyrinth, the Cornus Florida Rubra and Davidia Involucrata, Lotus flowers and the terrace gardens, greenhouses with tropical species and the wide equatorial Ninfee. Evening arrival to Milan, dinner and overnight accommodation.

8th day Milan & Como Lake

After breakfast departure to pay a visit of Villa Carlotta on the shores of Como Lake, exploring its museum, housing a precious art collection with works by Canova, Thorvaldsen and Hayez, and the botanical garden which is a place of rare beauty. Bus transfer to the Airport according to Your schedule.
