Italian agriculture is famous all over the world thanks to its geographical position and especially to the good climate that raise our natural products amongst the best and the most famous of the Mediterranean countries. This tour offers the possibility to an expert in one of the above fields, to know our plantations our cowsheds and all the procedures of transformation, to have on the table .... our good Parmigiano cheese, our Chianina meat and our Lambrusco or Chianti wines ..... and also to spend some days admiring the beauties of the nvolved cities.

day 1)
On arrival in Milan you will be welcomed by our professional Tour escort and our driver. You have two options to start the tour: First option is a visit to the vineyards of nearby Oltrepò Pavese famous for its production of Barbera, Freccia Rossa and Barbacarlo wines. The second one is a visit to one of the many large and important dairy and beef livestock farms located in the provinces of Milano or Lodi always within max 50 km from the city center. The day will end with an orientation tour of Milan including: the Duomo Cathedral, the Piazza della Scala and The Castello Sforzesco. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

day 2)
Milan – Mantua - Parma
After breakfast we will leave Milan to Mantua for a visit to one of the most famous farms of the area. The visit will be followed by a local expert in the field. Lunch included in the same area. Continuation to Reggio Emilia for the visit of a meat processing plant such us: Unicarni, Ipercoop, etc.. After the visit departure to Parma for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

day 3)
Breakfast at the hotel and morning visit to Parma and meeting with the local cheese cooperative. Visit of a farm affiliated with this dairy cooperative. Lunch with the farmer representative of the Consorzio Parmigiano Reggiano. In the afternoon we will visit a Parma Ham Factory, a local expert in the field will explain all the rules of the production. Return to the hotel for overnight. Dinner is on your own.

day 4)
Parma – Modena - Parma
Breakfast and departure for a visit to Ermes Malpighi and his balsamic vinegar factory, with a tasting session. Lunch in a local and typical restaurant of the area. Return to Parma in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own.

day 5)
Parma – Bologna - Florence
After breakfast, departure to Bologna and stop for the visit of a dairy-research farm such as Granarolo Felsinea. Lunch included during the course of the tour. Proceed to Florence. Arrival and orientation tour of the city center: Duomo Square, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Old Bridge crossing the Arno River and the Old Palace Palazzo Vecchio. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

day 6)
Florence - Siena - Orvieto - Rome
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Rome with a stop in Siena to admire the best preserved medieval town in Italy. We will visit, mostly on foot, the Cathedral with Pinturicchio works, the Town Hall with masterpieces by Italian painters and sculptors, the Churches of St. Domenico and St. Francesco, beautiful example of medieval architecture, and the famous shell-shaped Piazza del Campo dominated by the Mangia Tower.
Lunch in a typical restaurant. For the farmers interested in cattle we can surely organize a visit to a Chianina cattle farm. Proceed to Orvieto and visit one of the vineyard producing the famous dry white wine followed by a session wine tasting. Arrival to Rome late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

day 7)
After breakfast, early departure for a technical visit, south of Rome, to a dairy milk factory famous for its “Buffalo” mozzarella-cheese. You will have the opportunity to taste these products. Typical lunch is included and will give the opportunity to taste local products. In the afternoon departure for a sightseeing tour of Rome including: Piazza della Repubblica, the Aurelian walls, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps. Farewell dinner in a typical restaurant of Rome including musical entertainers singing traditional Italian folklore songs. Overnight at your hotel.

day 8)
Rome - Fiumicino Airport
Transfer with our Coach and Tour Escort from the hotel to Rome Fco Airport.
